It's off the market folks! I played the bass I was gassin' for today then came home and played this one. No doubt about it, my G.A.S. is cured. I know I'd regret it later if I sold this one. I could probably still be tempted with a fretless Rob Allen MB-2, but that's about all.

Well, here goes. I've been debating this for a while, but it's time. Try as I might, I just don't relate to the Ash/Maple sound as much as Alder/Rosewood. I got this a few months back and while there's no denying that it's a fantastic bass (of course, it's a Sadowsky!), I reach for my fretless P bass just about every time I play. I'd rather see this in the hands of someone who'll give it the playing time it deserves.

It's a Metro MV-4HPJ, in excellent condition, with just the light finish swirls that come with normal handling. I've also got a tortoiseshell pickguard that I'll include. It's got hum canceling Sadowsky P & J pickups, VTC, 1.5" nut, '59 sunburst Ash body, Maple fingerboard and weighs 9lbs. 6 oz. It comes with a Sadowsky Ultralight case, also in excellent condition.

The price is $1700, shipped in the continental US. Payment by USPS Money Order or Paypal. I'm a fanatic about careful packing and I have a brand new shipping box and lots of packing materials to ensure safe shipping.

I'd really prefer a cash sale, so about the only trades I'd be interested in would involve a:
Rob Allen MB-2 4 or 5 string fretless
Zon 4 or 5 string fretless
Possibly a (alder/rosewood) fretted P or P/J bass + cash
Possibly a fretless or (rosewood) fretted Stingray or Sterling 4 + cash

Thanks, it *is* a nice bass and I came to my senses and am keeping it.

For anyone who's looking for one, I recommend buying the HPJ that Pedroims is selling. He's a good guy and I'm sure his HPJ is every bit as nice as this one.
