Sadowksky's website for more detail (The UV is the second one down):

Pick guard: White pearl.
Neck: Maple with white binding; maple fingerboard with white pearl blocks.

The bass is equipped with Dunlop straplocks. The original screws & pins will be included in the case, along with the wrenches and Sadowsky paperwork. Also included is a white pick guard.
CONDITION
Forced to put a number on it, I'd say 9/10. The reason?
Full disclosure....there is a ding in the body, at the bottom of the neck pocket. Here's a pic:
Completely through the finish, no damage to the wood. I was obviously distraught when this happened. The neck was removed to drill for installation of the Dunlop screws, and somehow...boom. No structural concerns or any issues with playability. I'd like to say it's only noticeable if you're really looking for it, but that's obvious...and I understand it's an aesthetic concern even if it has no effect on the sound of the bass.
Otherwise, the bass is in near-new condition. It has been on four gigs and one recording session. It looks as good as it sounds, and it sounds awesome (more on that in a second).

Lovely Day So What A Night in Tunisia SO...WHY...?
...am I selling it if it's so awesome? One big reason...the size. I thought I could adapt to this one physically, but that hasn't been the case. I've got some shoulder and back issues that will take a while before they're corrected, and as much as I dig the sound of this bass, it's just not comfortable to wear it for any length of time.
The sound? Amazing...very punchy, ample focus, and typical wicked Sadowsky happiness. The playability? You kiddin'? It's a Sadowsky. If you're okay with the full sized body, well....it's a Sadowsky.
So, typical sob story, my loss = your gain, yada yada. Obviously I'm not throwing this out at a crazy bargain, but the feedback I've gotten points at $2,300 being a very fair price. While I did get in just under the price increase curtain, I paid $2,805 + sales tax...plus a few extra Samolians for the pearl guard and strap locks. Wah wah, I know, I know...

Anyway, I wanted to offer some logic behind the sales price.
TERMS
Probably goes without saying, but I'd love a local (SF Bay Area) sale...that way you can see and play the bass, and we can trade wood, metal, plastic, & fabric for twenty-three Benjamins. Otherwise, I'll accept PayPal (while happily listening to your alternative ideas). Shipping will be on your dime - UPS Ground, insured for $2,300 - and I will have the bass in its case, well-packaged by my local music store.
There we have it - thanks for your time and energy in reading this really long post. If you've gotten this far, hopefully it means you're interested in the bass...if so, let's talk!
