FS SADOWSKY MODERN NYC 24/5 LINED FRETLESS

I purchased this beautifully exquisite bass back in June 2012 after Father's Day, was an impulse purchase and now I'm looking to have a Sadowsky made to my liking. So I'm selling her to fund that purchase. Here are the specs on her:

#2795
Manufactured Jan 1998
Transparent Blue
Morado Fingerboard (fretless w/lines)
EMG 40DC Pickups
Black Hardware
Original Sadowsky Soft Case
APPROX WEIGHT 8.00 lbs. (3.63 kg)
1.875" Nut
19mm String spacing

Asking $2,400.00 + shipping CONUS

More PICS can be found here:

Owned this one. She's good. And a great price.

Thanks Kenny, can't believe that she's held for so long without a bite! No one seems to want a great bass at a fantastic price.

IMHO it's the fretless part. If it had frets I'd probably still own it. :-) I just dont get enough work to warrant having that much tied up in a fretless. And Sadowsky by and large are a nitch market, fretless even more so. BUT whoever would want this bass IS getting it at a great price and it plays and sounds SO good. GLWTS.

Thanks Kenny!

It pains me to keep looking at this. :)

Can you explain the control layout? Specifically... Sad pre w/ VTC? What does the switch do?

Somebody buy this. I have a weakness for aggressive sounding fretless basses in a trans blue finish.

The EMGs have a strong fundamental. Paired w/ Rogers preamp they are huge and well defined. Where they're positioned gets you a great upper-mid burpy thing. -Kenny Ames

Pre VTC, this was one of Roger's pre Sadowsky Soap Bar P/U also. However it is an active bass with Roger's Preamp. -Rich Rodriguez

The switch is the equivalent of the push-pull pots...

I don't get this - I thought the EMG soaps were active only, so what happens with the toggle?

Gotta confess I've been eyeing this bass for a while now...

Thanks!

Having owned this bass I figured I'd answer.

The EMG's work actively or passively. Toggle toggle's em....lol.

Seriously great price on a great bass.
