Thanks David. I'm sure you'll love the bass.
Lots of trade offers but mostly and ironically for 5 bangers with maple boards (exactly what I'm NOT looking for)
So, reduction of the sale price it is...
This is kind of a feeler and I'm thankfully NOT in a must sell position (translation: I'm not going to dump the bass out of desperation)
In fact, the only reason I'm even posting this is because since I got my AC 4 several months ago, this poor thing has not seen much action. It's getting difficult to justify keeping two GREAT basses while really only using one. . .
This is one of the best playing and sounding basses I've ever had the pleasure of playing.
From what I can tell, the bass is a late 90's bass.
It is in very good condition especially considering the age. The electronics are standard for the time period V,P,T,B (active/passive push/pull with pull=active). No VTC.
The playability is ridiculous and it sounds so good that I used it mostly in passive mode.
I bought the bass used, and I can't see the body wood grain but, I believe that it is Alder. Neck is Maple, Fingerboard I'm pretty sure is Morado. Old style bridge. Sadowsky tuners. Bass weighs around 9 + pounds based on shipping scale. I don't believe that it's chambered.
The color looks quite orange in these pics but sometimes, especially in brighter light/outdoors it looks more salmon in color. Someone told me that they thought it was a fiesta red. The short answer is, I don't know for certain what the official color name is.
Bass comes with a Sadowsky nylon semi-hard case.
The only issue here is the case itself in that it stinks. It's in excellent condition other than the smell. I've kept the bass in a nice gig bag since I've owned it and it is not stinky.
I'm asking (reduced price) $2,500 for the bass plus shipping and would prefer to not go PayPal but, will if need be.
Please ask any questions you have and I'll try to answer them.
Thanks for looking.
