FS - Sadowsky NYC Modern 24

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey TBers, SOLD ON EBAY!

Selling my 1992 NYC Sadowsky Modern 24. Serial number 1429. In very good condition for an almost 20 year old bass. Killer player, very fast. Very light. Super heavenly clean sound. Have included picture of a small yet noticeable mark on back of bass. Other wise in stunning shape as you can tell by the photos.

1.875 Nut width. 19mm string spacing, very flexible gotoh bridge - my guess is it could go from 17mm to 21mm. Every thing is original to the bass, no changed parts.

I have played a lot of Sadowsky's, this one murders them all. Roger's new stuff doesn't compare to this. I'm selling my baby to fund a move to LA. If you live in the Boston area feel free to PM me and we can set up a time for you to check her out in person.

Comes with original hard case with red plush. Case is in great shape (not used for gigging), has key, and piece of paper which says "Roger Sadowsky 420 SR Form Fit" Asking price 2900 including insured domestic shipping or Make your best offer. No trades please.

I will entertain all reasonable offers. Thank you & God bless.

I thought I should also mention that before I had this bass a collector had it, so everything is really in much better shape than it should be, including the frets.

What the bass looks like under non-direct lighting.

Yeah it's a nice one. I believe it used to be Tony Grey's bass when he was at Berklee. I remember him playing a bass exactly like this. (I know he has one with a rosewood fingerboard, but I remember him playing a maple board modern back in the day) Maybe some one here on TB knows him better than I and can ask him.

The pickups are EMG's (which I think was stock back in 1992) The toggle switch turns the preamp on and off. Much better than the push/pull IMHO. It looks like this baby is about to sell on eBay, less than two days left on bidding. She will make her new owner happy. Best Sadowsky I've ever played.
