SOLD FS: Sadowsky NYC Standard 5 Bass w/ AAAAA Quilt Top USA SOLD

[/b]Ok, I am selling the bass I said would stay in my family forever. This is by far the best sounding bass that I have played or heard . I have owned over 80 basses in my life ranging from Fodera, Ken Smith, MTD, pre-CBS Fenders, Fender, Nordstrand, Alleva Coppollo, and Carvin to name a few and this is that trumped them all. Whoever is the future owner of this bass will be amazed. Roger Sadowsky did something very special when he made this one.

Up for sale is my beloved Sadowsky NYC Standard 5 String Bass. It's serial number is 4124 and I believe it was made in 2001. It has vintage tone controls and has a perfect weight to it (not sure of the exact weight but right around 9 lbs). It has a beautiful ash body, AAAAA Quilt Maple Top, Original Half Clear Guard (no longer made by Sadowsky), Vintage tone controls, 59 Burst color, maple neck and maple fingerboard. The bass is in 9.75 out of 10 condition. You will not find a better looking, feeling, or sounding bass than this one.

Never subjected to a smoking environment an rarely gigged. I has been played in churches and at events like wedding receptions. Every time I let a bass player play it, they drool!!! They all comment on how amazing this bass plays and sounds. Several of them after playing my bass purchased there own Sadowsky five only to realize the tone can not be duplicated. The bottom on this bass is ridiculous and the top end is just right. Not brittle or unbalanced. Live this thing cuts through the mix like a samurai sword yet sits in the pocket perfectly.

I know that I will change my mind soon, so someone buy this before I do. It comes with it's original sadowsky case and if purchased new today would cost over $4800.

I need to get $4000 delivered in order to part with her. Trust me you will not be disappointed. This bass kills every boutique Jazz Bass out there. Take a look at the photos and know that as good as she looks, she sounds 40 times better.

Contact me if you have any questions. If anyone from Iowa or Florida, who played my bass is welcome to comment on how she sounds, feels, plays, and looks.

Please no trade offers. I am only selling because I don't play anymore and this is my last bass that I have. I even sold my amp before I parted with this beauty. Paypal or local cash deal only. Currently in North Central Florida.

The bass has been sold and is no longer available.

Please Note the pickups are single coil that sound incredible in either passive or active mode.
