FS: Sadowsky UV70

Not looking for trades right now. I'm bass heavy, and have some bills coming up. This is a beautiful, Transparent White Metro UV70 with Morado board and ash body. This DOES have the VTC. With my band, I'm basically a passive P-Bass player, so this baby isn't getting the love it deserves. According to Roger Sadowsky, this bass was made in late 2007.

$2,000.00 shipped to CONUS. I do not have Paypal, so I would need a certified bank check or a U.S. Postal Money Order.

This bass is flawless (no dings or scratches) with one exception. While giving it a set-up one time, a bass tech that I use was also swapping out the pickguard. The new guard was a perfect fit except for one hole. He added another hole to accommodate the new guard. You can see it in one of the pics below with the pickguard off. It is not visible with the p/g on; and the original Sadowsky guard is now back on it.

Comes with original Sadowsky case. When I received this bass from Bass Central, the one tab on the zipper had broken. So I put a Bass Central keychain ring on it in place of the zipper tab (seen in a pic below). It actually works better than the zipper tab! Other than that, the case is in excellent condition, inside and out.

I love this bass, and have mixed emotions about selling it. Any questions, please ask or P.M. me. I'm sorry, but I do not know the exact weight. I don't have a scale, but I'd estimate it as between 10 - 10.5 pounds. As a Metro, it does not have the chambered body. I know that sounds pretty heavy to some of you, but with a Comfort Strapp, it feels fine to me.

Edit: I took this up to PakMail to get an accurate weight. My estimate was pretty close. It's closer to 10 lbs. than 10 1/2. It's 10 lbs., 3 oz.

Thanks Jim. But I already have too many basses (if that's possible!).

Hopefully, this will hit somebody's hot button. If not, I'll keep it. I just feel a bit guilty because it doesn't get the playing time it should. She deserves a better fate...

Bump. Also, this neck is awesome. Very sweet and comfortable. The binding and fretwork are impeccable as well.

You don't see a lot of these Transparent White/ash/Morado combos. A new one will run between $2,700 - $2,850.

Final price drop. $2,000.00 shipped. If nobody wants it this week, I'll just hang onto it. I love the bass, so it sure won't break my heart to keep it. (Wouldn't mind having a little extra money though!)

Just took it up to PakMail to get an accurate weight. It's 10 lbs., 3 oz.

Also, the pics from my crappy camera do not do this thing justice. The people at PakMail were oohing and aahing at how beautiful this is. Especially how the gorgeous grain shows through the Transparent White paint. If I can find somebody with a better camera I'll get some better pics.

I agree, Jeff K. The transparent white is stunningly beautiful in person. Rich, like creamy white chocolate..... almost good enough to eat.
Not too white, and not too yellow... just perfect. Sadowsky has that finish NAILED!!!
I had an MV4 in that color that I really wish I still had. The blocks on yours are just the "icing on the cake".

Good luck with the sale. I truly wish it was/could be me.

Excellent description, Rayzak! You should be a writer. And you're the kind of guy I'd love to see give her a good home! Somebody who would appreciate her...

Final bump. No interest today and I'll assume I'm supposed to keep her...
