I purchased this bass used here on TB to see if I would like the tone/feel of a P-J 5r. And I must say "Me likee". So, now that my GAS tank is about ready to explode, I need to move this baby to purchase parts to build myself a custom P-J 5r.
I have upgraded this bass with the following options;
Tuners are Hipshot USA ultralights
String retainer is "Bar" type
Machined alluminum controle knobs.
Bridge is a KSM Foundation;

Additional work done was Levelling, crowning, polishing and dressing the frets, rolling fretboard edges, sanding and refinishing the back of the neck for a smoother (less tacky) feel. Complete pro settup including adjusting truss rod, setting saddle hight and intonation, and filing nut for an ultra low action.
It's been a great little bass and has me really gassin for a custom built P-J 5r for myself.
I am offering this one as is with custom upgrades for
$600 shipped (I know you can buy a brand new one for $549 on musicians freind) But this is what I feel this bass is worth (in used condition) with the upgrades and labor to set it up the way it is. If you would rather have the original hardware, I will let it go for $500 shipped.
This one does not come with a case, but I can hook you up with a new padded gig bag for $50.
