Its back on the block...I really need the cash and I'm just playing my other basses more at this point.

Specs:
* Skjold offset 92 body style
* Sapele mahogany body
* 5A flamed maple top
* 9 piece maple/purple heart neck
* nicely figured macassar ebony fretboard
* Skjold SC1 pickups
* Skjold/East Deluxe preamp
* 4-way pickup selector switch (bridge pickup, series, parallel, neck pickup)
* black hardware
* 35" scale (feels like 34" with the bridge location, though)
* 18mm string spacing
* between 9.5 and 10 lbs by digital bathroom scale method

More info from previous owner here: Skjold Custom 5-string (Offset '92)

What Pete told me about the bass:
Quote:
Hey John,

just so you know if I hadn't already told you. This bass was an endorser trade in which means it was sold at a discount to the endorser. When they wanted something different I took it back and Tom Bowlus bought it for basically the endorsement price because he had already ordered like four basses to me. This bass if ordered today is over 4500.00. You won't see this kind of deal again on a bass like this. The bass has optional fingerboard, neck, pickups, top, and finish color. This is truly a one of a kind bass. I hope you get a decent price for it. I don't do endorsements anymore because of this kinds thing. Just thought you should know. You might want to put that in the post. Thanks,

Pete
I'm asking $2500 shipped in a Gator HSC

The flaws (mentioned in previous owner's thread):

Me being a fool with the bass (helps show the size of the bass in relation to a person):

Very cool bass bump. Great idea showing what it looks like on. When you look at the bass on a stand, it has a very cool but very funky shape. But it looks totally awesome on, notwithstanding the current owner! JK!

If I had a lot of money, I would have to grab this. Unfortunately, I don't!

FYI, my attempt to make sound clips of this bass was a failure. getting some weird distortion when I try to record through my computer's sound card and I don't know why...sorry to those who may have been waiting on that.

Man, the economy must still be bad because I know people aren't still sleeping on Skjold's. These are "World Class" instruments folks! Mr. Skjold backs up his basses 100%! You won't be disappointed with this bass. The seller is pretty cool too!

Pete Skjold makes some of the best instruments I've ever played or heard. Love his basses and I'm sure this one is no exception. Too bad I have other things to buy, like tattoos, or I'd be all over this. Sweet fretboard!

This really is an awesome bass and pete's basses are some of the best I've owned. Only reason I'm selling is that My wife and I are really short on cash and i can always buy another bass when we have more to play with.
