Up for grabs is a gorgeous hot-rodded Warwick Thumb NT5. Buttery ovangkol neck, bubinga pommelle body wings and top, ebony fingerboard... this is the real deal. Upgrades include an Audere 4-band 18V preamp, Joe Barden pickups, and a brass Just-A-Nut I.
Cosmetically, she's at least a 9/10. A few small dings on the top of the headstock, but that's pretty much it. I've gigged her regularly and take very good care of my instruments, so she's battle-tested and ready to rock. Weighs 9.9 lbs. on the digital bathroom scale. If anyone is interested in recordings of this bass, shoot me a PM and I'll link you to some tracks.
Price is $2300 shipped in con US only. Bass will ship in a ProTec case. Will consider trades for a matte or natural-finish ( no gloss!) 5 string Spector Euro or US. Picky, but I don't care much for the feel of gloss-finished necks... natural and smooth for me please
On to the pics!
Now a couple of pics courtesy of Rocket Music, where I purchased this bass from

What do those barden PUPS sound like compared to the MECs? | I've pondered this decision for a long while now and this bass needs to be played, which I haven't been doing lately
Regarding the Bardens, I find them to be thicker and less glassy than the MECs. They respond well to EQ and have a very even sound to them, which works very, very well with the Thumb. Greg at Rocket Music installed the electronics before I got it (this was his old personal bass), so the work is top-notch.

Good luck with the sale, even though you won't need it! |
