FS: Spector Euro 5LX Natural Oil: NEW NEW PRICE $950 + shipping

Sign in to disble this ad
Never thought I'd let this go but with the projects I'm doing now, it isn’t getting played, and so I'd like to be adventurous and try something new. If someone would like to talk me out of this I'm all ears, but I'm interested in either switching to a Mike Lull or a Roscoe.

Instrument is in excellent condition w/ some minor thumb wear above the pickups. Was PLEK'd about a year ago and has very low action. Currently strung with a new set of DR Lowriders, and comes with a well padded Warwick gig bag.

$950 + shipping, CONUS.

Are all Spector thin and curved on top like shown in Pic 3?

I wouldn't call the body thin, but it is concave, yes, and fits well as a result.

Listening to offers bump. Feel free to continue throwing them at me. Additional picture supplied with me w/ bass in the monkey suit.

Also, by request, I weighed the bass this morning: 9.2 lbs

Ok, fine, don’t show any interest in the instrument, but the least you can do is make fun of the goofy GB portrait.

Well, that's what I've been wondering too. I bought this several years ago for $1,200, and have the cost of a PLEK job on top of that. This is a huge bass for the amount of money.

Who knows... maybe few people are interested in Spectors right now. Maybe it's simply not the economy for used instruments.

Which is why I should probably hold on to this until there's a better market and get what its worth instead of giving in to ADVENTUROUS GAS.

Now there's a band name for you.

Hence.....

Hence my sheep comments. You know I get it......a $2800+ fully upgraded Ray and I'm down to the same price range???? Not the economy, just whatever the flock is gravitating to this week. Got a good pal in the Dallas area that is THE go to guy for motown type stuff. Plays a $300 Vintage Model Squier with the head sanded and re-tinted yet everyone talks about his "Classic" P-Bass tone......rolling on the floor as I type!
Good luck man, I hope it sells for you!

For starters:

http://www.plek.com/en_US/home/

...but also do a search here at TB, there have been oodles of threads devoted to discussing it.
