FS: Spector Euro4LX Bubinga *RARE*

Well, I hate to do this, but my recent purchase of Sadowsky #2 means some other stuff needs to go. I was up to 4 Spectors at one point, but really need to go down to 2.

2005 Spector Euro 4LX - Exotic Top

I purchased this new from Bass Central in late 2005. It is original and in excellent condition. The only mod is that I replaced the 2 vol configuration with a 1 vol and balance pot.

PJ Rubal of Spector told me they only built 6 total Euro LX models with bubinga tops both 4 and 5 strings. That means this is one of just a few that were ever made. It is not an option now.

As far as tone goes, it sounds like a Spector, yet is unique. It is a little ballsier/fuller in the low end, especially the low mids. It does not have quite the cutting highs that a maple capped Spector does. This is definitely more mid heavy than your average Spector. Of course, you can dial in some sizzle with the treble boost.

The bass ships in a Spector case (not the one the bass came in but perfect fit).

I'll get some single pics taken tomorrow so you can see more of it. Also, the 83 is sold and the other 2 are NOT for sale.

That is no relic job but the real deal from decades of use. Sold it a few months back to none other than Todd Cooke!

Thanks. That is a standard euro4lx with the maple top that was a natural oil finish. Had it custom refinished, switched to black hardware and put in an EMG pre.

Well, just remember that 33% of the current collection can be yours! It is a bit of a bummer to go down to only 2 of these 4, but those Sadowsky's aren't free! 2 Sads and 2 Spectors ain't a bad substitute.
