FS: Spector Rebop 5 DLX - Beautiful Black Stain Zebrawood
I bought this Spector Rebop 5 DLX from a fellow TBer a few months ago. This has an incredible transparent black stained Zebrawood finished top, Alder back, upgraded electronics, and a heavy-duty padded Spector gig bag. Excellent fit and finish and light at 9.0 lbs.
The bass came stock with EMG-HZ pups and the Spector Tone-Pump with trim pot. After playing it and doing some research in the Spector threads, I had the electronics and pickups upgraded to an EMG BQC 3-band pre w/ EMG 40DC neck & 40CS bridge pickups. The CS in the bridge is a bit warmer in the highs but still has plenty of cut and the sweepable mid provides a wider variety of tones. The upgrade was definitely a tonal improvement and I can see why rockers in particular dig the Spectors. The low end is very solid and defined. This bass punches and plays well with its low action setup.
I've had some other priorities come up so I need to find a good home for this bass. $935$900 shipped CONUS, Paypal or USPS Money Order.

This bass was purchased new for $1400. The pre-p/u upgrade is similar to what's in the Alex Webster Euro 5LX signature model. I am the 2nd owner and am asking just what I paid for it. The $330 upgrade is on me.
This was my first Spector. It's stunning looking in person. I've added a picture that might help show the finish a little better. Keep in mind, this is before the perfect preamp and pup upgrade. I would LOVE to hear this bass with these upgrades. I have the BQC in one of my current Spectors and it's great for dialing in your desired tones. With these upgrades, you can't go wrong here! GLWTS.
