The TonePump is the non-trimpot version. I purchased this bass a few months back, but now I need to fund another purchase, so this has to go. This is definitely a 'player's bass'. It's got dings and has worn areas where your thumb rests while playing, and where your fingers rest while slapping. Overall, it's in great condition. No truss rod issues. The strap button near the bridge needs to be adjusted, I think the hole has been stripped - easy fix, I would imagine. The strap buttons fit Schaller strap locks. The bridge shows some wear as well. As for the finish - it is natural. I'm not 100% sure if this was the original finish or if it was stripped. The control cavity is secure, however the screws are not very tight. I just put a new battery in.
The fretboard shows a little sign of wear but is otherwise really nice. Same goes for the frets. This bass plays smoothly and the satin neck allows for easy transitioning in playing positions.
The alder is really light weight. If you're looking for a light weight, 35" scale active bass on a budget, this is it.
