FS: Spector Rebop 5 DLX Natural; a player's bass!

For sale only!

Spector Rebop 5DLX in natural finish. Sweet sound, punchy and low. Great B string, low action and very light weight - a smidge over 8 lbs.

Specs from spectorbass.com

Original NS-Curved Body™
European Alder
Bolt-On Neck
Deep Pocket Neck Insert
SPECTOR® MOP Crown Inlays
Passive EMG HZ Pickups
Active EQ - 9v TonePump™
Black Hardware

The TonePump is the non-trimpot version. I purchased this bass a few months back, but now I need to fund another purchase, so this has to go. This is definitely a 'player's bass'. It's got dings and has worn areas where your thumb rests while playing, and where your fingers rest while slapping. Overall, it's in great condition. No truss rod issues. The strap button near the bridge needs to be adjusted, I think the hole has been stripped - easy fix, I would imagine. The strap buttons fit Schaller strap locks. The bridge shows some wear as well. As for the finish - it is natural. I'm not 100% sure if this was the original finish or if it was stripped. The control cavity is secure, however the screws are not very tight. I just put a new battery in.

The fretboard shows a little sign of wear but is otherwise really nice. Same goes for the frets. This bass plays smoothly and the satin neck allows for easy transitioning in playing positions.

The alder is really light weight. If you're looking for a light weight, 35" scale active bass on a budget, this is it.

Note: hockey stick not included

Sale price: $550 plus shipping CONUS

Sweet bass at an awesome price. I'm not much of a 5-er guy, but someone who is is going to get a sweet deal here.

GLWTS bump!

Thanks Tostitos.

A few inquiries. Keep 'em coming. This does not come with a case, but I can include a gig bag for an additional $20 if you wish.

Edit: it's a Rockbag not a Spector gig bag, sorry about that.

Sorry for the dumb question, but I don't know much about these basses. Are they American made?

Chech Republic I believe. Cant go wrong with a Spector, built to last and have a sound all their own.

It is still available.

The bass in made in the Czech Republic. All Spector's Euro basses are made there including the Euro LX and Rebop series.

Great deal on this! I have this exact same bass (mine has dot inlays though) and it's an amazing player. Hands down the most affordable high quality 5'er you can buy.
