This is one of those "I KNEW this would happen!" situations...
You see, I've been after a white one of these forever, but nothing came about. So, I bought this black one.
And not a day after I hit "PAY NOW", a white one is offered to me!

Well, in my household, I can only keep one project like this, so I have to sell this...
2007 Squier Deluxe Active Jazz V
If you ask me (and many others, for that matter), this is one of the finest basses you can buy for the money. Where do I begin?!?!
Well, my favorite part is the Ebanol board. It always looks fantastic, but it also provides a stable, non-weather-effected support for the neck. This results in 2 things:
Frets never poke out and the neck will resist warpage.
Aside from that, there's many other things that are desirable...
Resonant Basswood body
19mm string spacing at the bridge
Active 3 band EQ with contour switch
Extremely quiet noiseless pickups
Classic-meets-Modern styling...
Perhaps the best thing that these basses offer is the ability to upgrade. The pickups are the same measurements as Sadowsky and Dimarzio pickups, as well as MANY others. And the control cavity is large enough to add just about any preamp you want.
So if you don't love the already fantastic tone that it comes with, you can always change it.
Personally, I've had 2 others that were "SquierDowsky'd" and the tone is a benchmark for bass judging. That's why I am getting another! The bang-for-the-buck is fantastic.
So what's the bad news with this bass?
Well, not a ton really. There's a chip in the paint on the headstock. I could hit it with black nail polish and that would fix it pretty well... but I'll leave that option up to the buyer.
The battery box door is semi-broken. It stays in place fine and holds the battery securely, but one of the "hinges" snapped off.
There are fine surface scratches (playing wear), some neck finish scratches near the treble side of the 11th fret (not deep, don't effect playability), and fret wear. All of which are perfectly normal for a 5 year old bass.
And it could use a new set of strings. Boiling them didn't revive them much.
When I got it, I put it through my usual treatment...
Tightened loose pots, jack, tuners. Sprayed cleaner in the pots. Cleaned and polished everything. Setup, neck adjust, intonate.
Will ship in the case it came with, a crappy TKL-style. I'll pack it in there securely, though. It could be fixed up, too.
*#*#* SOLD for $200 local #*#*#!!!
Paypal only. PM for shipping quote.
Like I said, I don't WANT to sell it. It's not a burden.
But once Whitey arrives, I'll have no use for this.
Whitey's here and this isn't getting used at all.
