I'm quitting music again. My loss can be your gain. I am selling this very nice bass (clear amber finish) that is in as-new condition. It's not scratched or dented, and my big gut prevents belt buckle rash (the only benefit of being fat!).
The difference between this one and a brand new one is the extra stuff I am including:
1) Fender tweed gigbag with 1" thick padding. This is a very nice bag.
2) I have installed the "High Mass" bridge from a Squier 50s "Classic Vibe" bass. It's basically a Gotoh without the logo. Sounds good and looks good. I will supply the stock bridge too.
3) A set of Dunlop StrapLocks have been installed. I will supply the stock strap pegs too.
4) A Neotech Comfort Strap. This strap is awesome, and makes the bass feel lighter, very comfortable.
5) The stock Fender round wound strings are installed, but I am also including:
6) A set of GHS Precision Flatwounds (45-105)
7) A set of Webstrings "Detroit Bass" flatounds (45-105). I actually like these better than the GHS Flats.
The bass sells new for $299. The gigbag is about $50, straplocks are $15, the strap is $25, the bridge was about $30, the strings.... you get the point. You can have this one for $239 including all the above extras (plus shipping), or come pick it up in San Francisco and save on the shipping.
Note the picture below shows it with the stock bridge and the stock strap buttons.
