FS: Squier jazz bass

Just picked this one up. It still has the plastic on the pickguard. I can't find a scratch, buckle rash, anything anywhere on this one. The previous owner is the original owner. He bought it a few months ago and just found out he's getting laid off. So he put his entire rig up for sale. I didn't want the bass but I did want the cab and head. He refused to separate them so I bought the whole enchilada. Anyway, this bass is brand new.

I gotta admit, I was a bit of a snob but this bass really surprised me. It plays and sounds amazing. The action is very low, no dead spots anywhere on the neck. The neck is very straight. The spacing is good enough for an aggressive slapper like me. It really is a great bass. That being said, I have a couple of other great basses and I need $$$ more than I need another bass. So it's for sale.

The Vintage Modified '70s Jazz Bass from Squier features a one-piece hard maple neck, maple body, and Duncan Designed Jazz Bass pickups. It can deliver punchy tone for the ultimate funk sound whether you play fingerstyle or slap-n-pop. Black binding and block inlays, black pickguard, and chrome hardware give it a true-to-the-'70s visual style.

Squier by Fender Vintage Modified Jazz Bass Features:

* Vintage Modified Jazz Bass
* Soft maple body
* One-piece maple neck
* Maple fingerboard
* Black block inlays
* Bound neck
* 20 large frets
* 34" scale
* Chrome hardware
* Vintage-style butterfly tuners
* Vintage-style 4-saddle bridge
* 3-ply black/white/black pickguard
* 2 single-coil Duncan Designed JB101 Jazz Bass pickups with Alnico V magnets
* 2 volume and one tone knob

How about $200 shipped CONUS? Not looking for trades.

nope...
That's why I have a squier to sell now. Picked up the Ampeg and a Sunn 2x15 cab. A little road worn but what can you expect for 70's era gear?

Got a few pms asking for international shipping. I would rather avoid that. Sorry. It's just a big PITA on this end.

Any chance of parting out the neck?

No chance. Sorry, but I don't need another bass. I really don't need a body lying around. If I can't sell it I will ultimately keep and play it. I just don't need it is all.

It should be VVT like every other Jazz bass. Are you saying that the pots don't work, or that they are gone? They appear to be in the pics. Could you explain this a little more?

OK folks...apparently I'm a complete and total idiot. The bass is fine. It is a VVT configuration. I was thinking it should be VTT or some such thing as that. In my defense...I'm not a jazz bass guy. So basically, I was tweaking the one pot expecting it to control all the volume. Yep...I'm a dummy.

Anyway, the bass is fine. The pots work great. No issues, no problems at all. Sorry for the mistake everyone. In the interest of full disclosure, I did remove the plastic from the pickguard earlier because it was frayed on the ends and it was bugging me. Other than that, it's perfect. Thanks TC, for showing me the glaringly obvious.

Back on the block. A few people have expressed interest and again, all apologies for the volume pot stuff. I just made a mistake but I guarantee this works perfectly. As of right now, the bass is available.
