FS: Squier vintage modified 77 jazz with audere preamp $325 shipped

Hello Fellow TBers,

I'm selling my nearly new Squier VM 77 which I modded with an Audere preamp and a new Gotoh bridge. The bass is in excellent condition. You will probably want to replace the pickguard, though. I wanted to see how I liked a chrome pickup guard for that vintage look, so I glued one on (did not want to drill holes in the bass) to the pickguard. I kept it on for a few weeks, but just wasn't getting into it, so I removed it. There is still some glue residue on the pickguard. there is probably an easy way to get this off, or the pickguard can be replaced. You can see the residue in the pic (on each side of the pickup.

The bass is very nice. The audere preamp really brings out some excellent tones from the stock pickups, and the Gotoh bridge is a greeat upgrade from stock. The preamp is alos very versatile with bass/mid/treb controls and the Z switch.

I will include a gig bag.

I think the price is very good for a relatively new bass with significant upgrades. Here's the math for this setup new:
bass: $30
bridge$40
Audere preamp: $150
gig bag: about $30
shipping...

No trades, please. The only reason I am selling it is because I have accumulated a few too many instruments recently and need to come back to my senses and thin the herd.
