I'm reluctantly posting up my Squier VM Jazz. It's just not getting used and I'm looking for some other gear. I bought it used and spent quite a bit of time getting it set up. It has a nice neck and action now after a shim and some truss rod adjustment.
I've installed a Gotoh 201 bridge on it which made a world of difference in sustain (which was already good). I also put black screws in the pickguard and installed the proper Fender volume/tone knobs on it (I'll include the original ones with purchase).
The bass plays and sounds great (I love the neck). There are some fine scratches on the pickguard. Looks like the original owner went at it pretty hard with a pick. You can only see them from certain angles. They may come out with some polishing compound, I just never got around to it. There is also a scratch at the corner of the neck pocket, which you can also see only under just the right lighting. It's not a crack, although it looks like one. I removed the neck and took the body to my local Fender dealer and had the tech look at it. He said it was definately a scratch under the finish. I did my best to get a picture of these, they'll be posted in here.
I have a padded Fender gig bad I'll include also. If I can get $250 shipped, I'll let her go. |
