FS: Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass

This bass is basically new. I purchased it from Guitar Center a few months ago.
I'm primarily a 5 string player. When I do play 4 string I've been playing my P-Bass.

It's a beautiful bass, but it's not getting any playing time.

I was in the process of blacking it out (all black parts), so it now has a black Gotoh bridge.

I also purchased Fender 70 series pickups for it.

I'll sell it for $220.00 shipped (paypal) with the Gotoh bridge.

If you're interested in the pickups let me know.

Thats my backup bass...always keep it in the truck..just in case!! Its a great player, and they look good and sound very good!!

What's the pickup change do for you? I'm not familiar with either. Do the originals come with too?

I have not changed the pickups.

The originals are still installed.

My next steps would have been to change the pickups, and black tuners.

But you HAVE the other pickups right? What were you hoping for with them and/or what do you find deficient about the stock pickups?

Yes, I have the other (non-stock) pickups.

There are several huge threads dedicated to the Squire VM series.

Most people swap the hardware to black and change the pickups.

There's nothing wrong with the pickups, just like there's nothing wrong with the hardware.

It's just a matter of tonal goals and "pimping" them out a bit...
