FS: Squire Deluxe Active Jazz V

Up for sale is my Squire Deluxe Active V in black. It is in great condition - little or no marks or swirls. The pickups and electronics are stock...three-band EQ. I changed the strings to D'addario Nickel-Plated Roundwounds when I purchased the bass. The neck is wide (2.008" at the nut) but very easy to play and the tone is great. The Phenolic fretboard without dots is a nice touch. Specs are available on Fender website or the TB thread below.

So why am I selling? Well, I bought this to keep in the practice room which I did for four months. However, we don't have a practice room anymore, and where we do practice is close to home so I can bring my other bass. I never brought it on gigs cause I use my Lakland DJ5, my Sadowsky RV5, or my Fender PB5. Don't get me wrong...the Squire is a tremendous bass for the $$, and this one plays very smooth and tight. B-string is well-defined, and the slap switch is huge sounding.

I bought the bass after reading all the reviews on the fanboy thread:

So, that said, I am asking $240 shipped, which includes a Fender gig bag. These have recently gone up in price ($329.99 on MF) and are getting harder to justify as a project bass or a second at that price.

I have played these a few times at GC. I was blown away by the tone this thing puts out for the price. I liked it better than the VM, and the MIM. I usually pick up one of these or the Geddys to dink around on when killing time at the shop. Good luck.

I've not shipped to Canada before, so I don't know what the additional cost would be. However, if you pay the additional cost of Canada shipping (including customs,etc) then we could have a deal.

Ugh!!! I have this beauty in Olympic White (with bartolini jazz p/u and aguilar obp-3) but I would LOOOOVE to have a compliment to it in black, even stock!!! These are fantastic basses. Someone come get this at a steal of a price!
