FS - STAMBAUGH DUALITY 5 STRING FRETTED

Sign in to disble this ad
I am selling my year old Stambaugh Duality fretted 5 string.

I bought this bass new from Chris at the end of last summer, and it has sat in its case, in the closet, ever since. I haven't really played it because he also built me a custom fretless 4, which I have been more focused on. The bass is in new/ pristine condition and has maybe been played for a total of maybe 8 practice hours.

This bass is featured on Chris' website:
http://www.stambaughdesigns.com/news...s/duality.html

Specs:
-Black Limba body
-Maple neck; 35" scale
-Pau Ferro fretboard w/ 24 frets
-18mm bridge spacing
-1.78 at nut
-Delano hybrid pup -- allows you to switch between a musicman style humbucker and a passive j-bass bridge single coil
-Delano preamp

The bass really does sound amazing, and can cover a variety of musicman and J-bass tones. Honestly, I am sad to see it go, but I am trying to simplify a bit, and it really should be played.

I am asking for $1300.00 shipped in the continental US w/ insurance and a used soft case.

Thanks!

I think that it is 19mm. When I measured it, the tape read 19 centered on the string.

Thanks again for the interest!

Although the F BN6 is tempting (they are great!), I am still hoping for a straight sale of some sort, as I am really digging my new Stambaugh f-less at the moment.

If no one bites in the next week or so, then I might possibly reconsider the whole trade situation . . . a new fretted 4 might fit the bill.

Deal in the making:

However, possible trades might include fretted 4 strings in mint condition from either Mike Lull or John Suhr. Thanks!
