Okay. After years of playing the GAS game, I've finally settled on the one bass for my needs. It pains me to thus be so mature and sell off all my other goodies, but in the end it's all for the best. Plus, I know they'll be going to loving homes here on TB

1) Steinberger L-2 serial#1019 - for your consideration, is an 1983 Steinberger L-2 in excellent condition. Logo sticker is intact. No gouges or dings in the body or neck, just some scratches near pivot plate attachment. Even better, I've got a lot of goodies that come with.

First off, you've got the original pivot plate. However, you'll see from the pics that there's another contraption attached. This is called the "boomerang". It allows you to position and lock the bass in absolutely any position/angle to meet your playing needs. I've kept it not completely locked, so that I could adjust on the fly. It makes you feel as if it's an extension of your body. Pretty awesome.

I've also got a plug-in legrest, a replacement made by Andy at Steinbergerworld. There's the original gigbag (sans Steinberger logo), AND--here's the best--hex screws that fit into the L-2 headpiece that allow you to use single-ball strings! $1850

2) Black Peavey G-Bass - Nice made in the USA Modulus graphite-necked bass, excellent playability and tone. Only major boo-boo is chipped paint on the bottom of the bass (see pic); otherwise some bumps and blemishes here and there. Currently strung BEAD as a counterpart to the Steiny. No nut alteration. Sorry, no gig bag but will be well packed. $300

3) Spector Rex4 Pro Holoflash - Previous seller's thread: SOLD: Spector Rex4 Pro Holoflash. Note the blacked out truss rod cover; have also added Dunlop straplocks and and a Hipshot detuner. No gig bag, but will be well packed. . $425

4) Fender Modern Player Telecaster - never gigged with; bought for a country act that didn't materialize. Tobacco burst, I believe. Sounds massive. No gig bag, well packed. Dunlop strap locks. $425

All basses shipped 48 contig states only; US Postal Money orders/certified checks preferred but paypal accepted.

Having owned both this L2 and an XL2 previously, the main differences are the neck profile (I'd say the L2 is a little beefier) and the tone. To my ears, the L2 is warmer sounding.
