**SOLD** FS: Sterling By Music Man® SB-14 (SB14) Bass Guitar, Pearl Blue, MINT!

Sign in to disble this ad
**SOLD** For sale is my Sterling SB14 Bass in impeccable, pristine condition! This bass is basically NEW!

I purchased the bass NEW in August of 2010 and has been played maybe 10 times. It is in showroom condition. I can not find a scratch, nic or blemish on the bass. It still has the plastic on the back panel & the original tag (showing inspection date of Feb 2010). Has been meticulously maintained.

As you know, this is basically the same bass as the USA made Ernie Ball MusicMan Sterling bass but at a fraction of the cost. The Pearl Blue was discontinued in 2011 which is arguably the nicest color combo with the black pick-guard. All Music Man basses are inspected and set-up in Orange, CA.

The SB14 uses a slightly smaller body size and narrow nut width for playing comfort. The basswood body is contoured, lightweight and produces warm tones. The 3-band active preamp is designed by Music Man®

- Basswood body
- Maple neck
- Rosewood fingerboard
- 3-band active preamp
- Music Man® designed humbucking pickup w/ ceramic polepieces and hum cancelling phantom coil
- Weighs about 7.5 lbs
- Width at nut is 1.5”

For additional details/specs and a video clip on the SB14, visit SB Basses | Sterling By Music Man | Official Website

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Asking $550 shipped, Fender Gig-bag, Black Strap & Adjustment tools.

The photos don’t do it justice. This axe simply sparkles and sounds totally amazing. Just part of my ‘thinning the herd’ project for the Spring to fund other projects & GAS.
Will make someone very happy!

Thanks for looking. Enjoy!

Bass/bag will be packed and shipped securely and professionally.

The bass is flawless! Pics can't even do it justice.

I'm a little new to the Music Man line. Is Sterling to Music Man the way Squier is to Fender? (As my guitarist puts it when referring to my Squier VMJ, Squier is the Busch Light to Fender's Bud. Damn guitarists.) Where is this bass made?

Nice looking guitar.

Thanks. Yeah, its an amazing bass.

Your question is a good one. I asked the same and the answer is NO - - its not the same as Squier to Fender or Epi to Gibson. These basses stand alone and are far superior to those others and as good as the USA made EB Sterlings - IMHO (these are made in Indonesia but inspected in California). If you ask anyone at the retail stores or anyone who owns or tried one, they would generally agree and validate that these are a bargain for what they provide.
