Price Drop $350 ... now $320 PayPal shipped ConUSA takes home a very nice Sterling Ray 34. This is just the bass (packed safely) as I have no bag or case for it.
This one is a great example with a nicely grained gloss ash body, a tort guard (fitted from an SR4) and a maple neck/board. The bass plays great and sounds like a StingRay. It's a very solid feeling bass at 10 lbs 13 oz. The frets are in excellent condition, the truss rod adjusts smoothly, and the 3-band eq has no scratchiness.
The overall condition of the bass is very good. There are a few tiny/shallow dings in the body. There is a small/shallow scratch in the midline of the back of the neck around the 8th fret. There is a small ding in the edge of the fretboard (bass side) at the 14th fret. Then center bridge hold down screw has been replaced as the original snapped off. The screw locks down tight and secure. You would only discover this if you pull the bridge. I bought it with a mismatched set of knobs and lost interest in replacing them.
These are small flaws which can only be noticed under fairly close scrutiny.
This is a really nice bass at a great price. However, I have too many other even nicer MM basses... so this one gets no play time.
