FS Stienberger Spirit XZ-25 $650 + Shipping

Price Reduced to $550 + shipping Paypal, better deal for local (Boston Area) cash deal

I have a rare Steinberger Spirit XZ-25 bass for sale. I just picked it up on ebay and realize that I just don't need another bass so I figure i will make it available here. This model has the full size body and produces a tone that sits nice in the mix. Here is an example of me playing this bass through a VTBass pedal then right into the mixer with backing tracks:

https://soundcloud.com/gregg-marcus/spirit-bass-sample

This particular neck is really sweet with a little bit of birds eye and flame to it.

$550 Paypal + actual shipping. Comes with the original spirit gig bag.

a couple more pictures. The Stingray is for comparison. I might sell it too if I get the right offer. I worked on the set up for a few hours and have it dialed in really nice now with medium action. Truss rod works great and is easy to access from the end of the head stock. The B string is very good on this. It is better than my Fender P5, but not quite as good as the stingray.

One other thing. I know this is manufactured off shore, but there is a sticker on the back that says 100% set up in the USA by Kramer.

A little Neck detail

This picture shows some of the flame and bird's eye in the neck. Its not boutique by any stretch but its kind of nice.

String Spacing is 16mm at the bridge

Weight is ~9.5 lbs give or take .5lbs (this is a guess comparing it to my 8.5 lb p-bass and 10 lb stingray that were measured by other people) Sorry that is the best I can do right now. I'm away this weekend, but can bring it down to FedEx next weekend if you need an exact weight.

Balance on a strap is perfect. Absolutely no neck dive.

Bump, But I must admit that this little bass is really starting to grow on me so I'm not sure how long I will keep this thread open.

And the P-bass wins again.

Back on the market at $550 + shipping with a brand new set of Status Graphite flat wound strings.

This bass has an amazing Reggae sound now, really fat with a nice tight B string.

I'm just a 5 string P-bass buy through and through so this one needs to find a home.
