So I just got this in as a trade for my Bongo. I didn't trade the Bongo because it sucked and I'm not selling this one because it sucks either, I've just really got spoiled by my Big Al and I can't make anything else work for me at the moment.
This instrument is beautiful. The full solid rosewood neck feels great and looks dynamite with the Vintage Sunburst finish. This sounds like basically any other Ray you've experienced except a bit warmer sounding. Bass is between 9 and 9.5lbs. Right now all I have is this picture borrowed from the guy I got it from. I'll post some of my own pictures later. Currently it has a tort guard and that's what it will ship with. I also have the original certificate of authenticity for the bass.
For those of you who don't know, Musicman opened a limited month long window in December 2008 where you could order any instrument with a solid rosewood neck for an upcharge around $175 IIRC. That is where this came from. Only a limited amount of these were made.
$1150 shipped in a generic hardshell case. Not looking for trades.
