Up for grabs is a fine bass I picked up from Talk Bass LA studio ace, Triplelutz. This was in his aresnal for 8 years. Luckily I caught him on a good day and I picked it up in March 2009. It is a GREAT bass. I just don't play it as much as I figured I would. Triplelutz said he would buy this back from me if one of his bass sells, but I have his blessing to sell it in the meantime. It's packed up and ready to ship. I have been blessed with some great bass so I'm thinning the herd and using the extra cash for the holidays.
Here's the orignal description he had when I got it. Lakland 55-02 Upgraded $1500
Custom Inca Silver w/ matching headstock (looks like 55-94)
Black Pickguard (55-94 model)
Bartolini pickups
Bartolini preamp
Rosewood fingerboard
Maple neck
Ash body
Custom black face chrome knobs
Strap locks
Hipshot Ultra-Light tuners
It doesn't come with a case but I will ship in a Nordy gig bag just like I received it.
I am selling this for exactly what I have in it. $1300 shipped. You might think it's a bit much for a 55-02, but wait till you play it! I used to own a 55-94 and it is right up there with my old one.......just cheaper
It will cover any genre. If it doesn't sell, then I get to keep a great bass!
Thanks
Robby

It's mint .. visual and playing condition. Birdseye maple neck with Macassar ebony fingerboard, ash or alder body (semi-hollow) with curly maple top. I played it out once but am no fretless guy, so it's sat in the case since then. Can send pix and more details if interested in a trade... |

I am not a fretless guy. I've always admired people who could play them to their capacity, but it's just not my style. Thanks though

I'm the guy that sold it to Dan (triplelutz). In retrospect I'd have to say that it was the best sounding and playing 55-02 I've come across. The matching headstock was done by Eclipse guitars here in Denver.
VERY nice instrument! |

Whoever ends up with this bass will not be dissapointed, and you won't find another one like it.. Bump for a one of-a-kind!
