My loss is your gain...
Offered here for sale is my SX SJB-57C VYW (Vintage Yellow) Jazz bass and CNB Hard Shell Case.

This bass was purchased new on Dec 31st, 2007 with the case from Rondo Music for $159.94 plus shipping. I tried last month using Citrusstrip to strip the ugly orange vintage tint off of the next. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention and the stripper had a bad reaction to the binding on the neck and started to melt it away. More information on the failed process here:
Citrusstrip vs. Essex SJB75 Black Blocks and Binding

Anyways, I have heard that the exact same necks should be available toward the end of the year if you want to do a direct replacement. Or, if you are handy, you could file down the edges of the frets and rework the plastic binding and finish removing the tint on the neck.

The case is not the most durable thing on the planet... but it is brand new and the bass fits perfectly in it. I'll include the case keys and all the original hardware from the neck.

Price is $100 Shipped to CONUS. No trades.

Here are the photos...

and before the stripping began...

This will be a great bass for someone. And a rosewood neck would also look grand on that bass and they are more affordable than the blocked counterparts at Rondo.

Someone needs to give that bass a good home and a wee bit of care! An easy project here guys!

I need to buy another bass this week like I need a hole in the head!

I'd love to keep this but I have 6 other bases and am looking at thinning the herd... I also have a 10 week old boy that is keeping me quite busy so another project is the last thing I need right now. With a wee bit of love somebody will put together a killer axe. I will own another SX someday. Just crazy quality for the price.
