Bought this as a project bass and have never gotten to it, as the other projects are stacking up to much. SX/Essex Jazz Bass, new headstock (nothing a little sandpaper can't fix
), 3TS finish over a beautiful grain, VERY nice-feeling and playing neck w/ vintage tint, upgraded OEM (Gotoh) Deluxe bridge, white pickups covers added. A previous owner also added string-through ferrules, though it must have been w/ a different bridge--the holes do not line up w/ the string-through version of the currently-attached bridge, and there are a couple of extra screws in the body, presumably from where the old bridge attached (the current bridge mostly covers these up). I have been advised that it is possible to make the string-through option work with the OEM bridge by elongating the holes on the top of the body so they reach the holes on that bridge. I leave it up to you to try or not... A previous owner also replaced one of the pickups--I might suggest re-wiring the control plate so the sound is cleaner.
All in all, a really nice bass for the price that would be a fantastic player with a bit of cleanup. Basic gig bag included. Asking $130 shipped CONUS. Always happy to ship elsewhere w/ additional cost paid by buyer. PM with any questions!
