Bump for a great bass and even better guy! | It is an excellent bass! I'll probably kick myself when it's gone because you can't just call up and have one of these shipped to you right away like a lot of basses out there. You have to wait a good while. Maybe I'll come back to me senses soon enough? Man Gas is a terrible thing that I wouldn't wish on anybody! |

It was a custom neck profile carved with what I believe is the standard neck radius but at the center where the thumb rests, it was sanded flat which is the best neck I've played period. I wish you could try it out. It's not a very flat profile all the way across the neck like an Ibanez, but a subtle feature at the center of the neck that I really like on the bass. It increases the playability IMHO. ETA...if you look really close in the last photo, you can follow the neck carving from where the neck joins the body of the bass and see where the flat profile goes down the center of the neck. Like I said, it's a very subtle addition, nothing really extreme. If you go back through the AC threads, you can find where it was mentioned a while back.

Like he said, it is not a skinny/flat neck by any means... The sides actually start out meaty but smoothly flattens out in the middle. It was an experiment that Jimmy tried and I had to have the bass... I like this neck profile so much that I will most likely do the same for my 2 incoming A-C's and any more I get in the future.
My left hand never felt better, the flat part is in the sweet spot where your thumb rests, given you're not a "thumb-over" player of course. |

Wish I had the moneys... |
