FS/T: G&L L-2000 (skinny neck, lightweight)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey Y'all,

My tastes are going through their usual rotation and this pretty G&L L-2000 is on the block. The features that make it particularly nice (IMO) are:

- jazz-like neck: 1.5" wide at the nut, probably a #8 with 12" fretboard radius
- lightweight: 8.6 lbs, about as light an L2K as I've ever seen
- natural body binding
- nice birdseye on the maple board

It's in very nice shape. The only flaws I can remember are a couple of small lighter spots on the body binding (may be small dings or chips in the clear coat) near the rear strap button. You've got to know to look for them to find them. So very nice but not "minty". Update on the flaws - there are pics later in the thread and I found 2 additional ones when taking the pics: a scuff on the side of the body near the jack and a small crack (finish crack?) under the volume knob.

The usual L2K goodness - dual MFD humbucking pickups, G&L tritone electronics (3 switches: pickup selector, series/parallel, passive/active/active+treble boost 3 knobs: volume, treble cut, bass cut), bi-cut neck, tapered aluminum post tuners, saddle-lock bridge . . .

It will ship in a hard case (Ibanez branded tolex type).

$825 shipped in the contiguous 48, paypal OK -- international possible (shipping via USPS connecting to your postal service, prepay via paypal in US funds, actual value on customs form)

possible trades:

G&L SB-2 : <=8.6 lbs, 1.5" nut width, US or Trib possible
G&L JB-2: <=8.6 lbs, 1.5" nut width, US or Trib possible
Schroeder Mini 12+L rhino 4-Ohm

tweaked the trades - pulled the trigger on a Wav4 so I don't need another one of those and I'm really only in the market for very lightweight 8.6lb or less SB2s/JB2s (I'm spoiled by my 8.0 and 8.2 lbs ones). Added a Yamaha BB714BS as I'm curious about these and have one on order for a deal I found but have a couple of weeks before it will be in stock - a used one would work and I could cancel the order.

But cash/paypal is always good

I'd like to try a Schroeder 12+L (or I guess technically it's a "Mini 12+ L") - 4 Ohms, Rhino

So I'd definitely be interested in a trade deal that included one of those. Heck, I'll put in a price drop as well as I'm ready to rotate some other gear . . . how's about $875 shipped in the contiguous 48

A careful examination showed 3 flaws that I can find:

- a scuff on the side of the body near the jack
- a crack (finish crack?) under the volume knob
- the previously mentioned light spots/chips/dings on the edge of the body - it's 3 small ones between the jack and the rear strap button

all are in these two pics
