FS/T: Godin Shifter bass (3-pickup)

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey Y'all,

The latest victim of my constant churn is this cool Godin Shifter bass. It has a 1.5" nut width (like a Jazz bass) and a very nice satin neck (very few necks work for me and this one seems to pretty well). A nice trans blonde finish that lets some woodgrain show through and a maple board.

The controls are a 5-way switch, volume and tone with the tone have a push/pull pot so you get 6 pickup combinations:

neck alone
neck & middle
neck & bridge
middle alone
middle & bridge
bridge alone

with a volume & tone control. It is in like-new/mint condition (and I don't say that lightly) and will ship in a nice Godin gig bag.

These basses are made in North America (Canada & the US) by Godin but priced like imports.

I'm selling because I prefer my own 3-pickup bass that I modded from a G&L Trib SB-2 (DiMarzio Will Power neck pickup, MFD P & J).

Shifter thread: Godin Shifter

$650 shipped in the contiguous 48, paypal OK

I'd love to trade. Stuff I'd be interested in:

Reverend Rumblefish 4
G&L SB2 (US)
G&L L-2000 (US)
G&L JB2 (US or Tribute)

all G&Ls need 1.5" nut width, under 9lbs and satin necks - I might go for a fretless SB2 or L2K that met those criteria as well

Line6 M9
NS Design Wav4
Fender Kingman bass
Zoom R16

I would be sorely tempted if it had a rosewood board.

temp price drop to $600 shipped via USPS MO -- I've got my eye on a couple of basses. As long as they are available I'm interested in moving it quickly
