FS/T: Lakland Skyline Darryl Jones 5

I have a DJ4 for sale here.

I'm undecided about which bass I want to sell, the DJ4 or DJ5. So, I'm posting both up here, and letting fate decide. I want a 55-02 or a 55-02.

This bass is much the same as the DJ4, except it is a 5 string. Same age and specs, though it's a little heavier at 9.5 lbs.

No scratches, and only one small ding. You can see it in the headstock picture below on the very top. Passive with the Lakland pickups.

This bass is ever so slightly more open sounding than my DJ4. Don't get me wrong...it still has a warm jazz bass tone. But in a direct comparison, it's slightly more open with a bit more clarity. Perhaps it's the longer scale.

I am the first owner of this bass. It was made in 2008, and I bought it from Beaver at Bass Central. It's in near perfect condition. No case with this, but I have the original Lakland packaging materials, meaning double boxed and heavily padded.

Trades: Lakland 55-02 or 44-02 Only. I'm not considering any other trades...honestly.

This is my favorite bass. Many, many, basses have passed through my hands and none of them feel better to me than the DJ5.

Someone needs to give this beast a home!

I love the cosmetics of the headstock, however, I dont really like the fender looking body style.

regardless, looks like its in good condition. and whoever buys this i'm sure will be very happy.

It looks much smaller and longer than a Fender. So to me that means no clunkiness and it will actually balance right. If this had a maple board I'd be oh so tempted.

Wow. Stunner. And I just got my 55-02 a couple of months ago. Man this is tempting...

The body has a hint of a jazz feel to it when wearing it, but it's much more sleek and contoured. Much more comfortable IMHO, with easy access all the way up to the last fret, which is impossible to say about most Fender Jazz basses.
