FS/T: US G&L JB-2

Hey Y'all,

I picked this up recently and it's a very nice G&L JB-2 - I'm not sure of the weight but it feels like a feather compared to my 8.8 lbs L2K and 8.4 lb Tribby JB-2 so I think it's the lightest G&L I've ever come across. It was advertised as ash but the grain sure looks like alder to me.

It's a newer/recent model as the truss rod adjuster is a different size than all the other G&Ls I've ever had. That makes me think it's got the new "non-compression truss rod" and probably a pleked neck. I don't know how to determine this with 100% accuracy and the bass didn't come with any paperwork so it's an educated guess.

It's in excellent condition. 1.5" nut width, satin neck and a pair of single coil J pickups with vol/vol/tone controls. It will ship in a tolex case. It had really dead strings on it when I received it and I've put a new set of nickel rounds on it which livened it up nicely.

$750 shipped in the contiguous 48, paypal OK

trades:

G&L L2K or SB-2 fretless with a 1.5" nut width, unlined ebony board and under 10 lbs in weight
G&L L1K with 1.5" nut width, under 10 lbs in weight

Man..! talk about quality for dollar value.
Imagine spending over a thousand on a new Fender Jazz when you could get G&L quality for this price. Look at those nice clean, accurate pickup routes!!
Real solid nickel frets!
Real quality finish! Great Deal here!

I had closed this down temporarily but today's session has me convinced I need to stick to the L2Ks and SB2s I've been rotating between for the last few years. I'll stick with one or two of each of those and drop the JB2s out of the mix. So this is on the block again.
