Normally I'm over @ HC forums chattin' on there, but I'd figure I'd try my luck here.
Have a (199?) Warwick FNA Jazzman 5 string for sale, have had it for the past 5 years and have kept it in great condition, comes with hardcase and all original paperwork.
-Swamp ash/Maple top body
-Ovankol (did I pronounce that right?) neck with wenge fingerboard. Real pretty grain on this one.
-5 strings (duh...). Smith's tapered.
-MEC MM active pups w/ killswitch and push/pulls.
-Hardcase included.
Or basically everything you see here is included:
This is the top-of-the-line Warwick. Has all the bells and whistles you could ask for on a bass. Has a ton - and I mean a ton of character to the tone; warmth, growl, a ton of punch and clarity. Plays fantastic and action is about medium/high for teh slapez.
Can go from the mellowest of sounds to the meanest brown noise, growl-in-the-gut ala: 311's bassist
"Peanut" sound. It is guaranteed to put a smile on your face when you get going and playing it is a very rich and rewarding experience.
I paid about $1800 when the economy was good, now I probably have to take a huge hit. These go for more than $3k new and I probably wouldn't consider that overpriced for what you get new. But this isn't new - yeah, there are a couple of scratches here and there - most notable is the 6' pin scratch on the backside, but pretty understandable overall overall. Fingerboard and neck look untouched though. I would rate it good to great or about an "8" overall.
Trade: I'm actually very very interested in a
Music Man 5 string bass whether that be a Stingray or a Sterling, both seem pretty similar to me. Would prefer a sunburst finish or another warmer color, but I'll be happy to entertain all offers on the matter.
Or looking to get $1200 outright. Not sure about shipping yet theough. Expect it to be in the $50+ range.
