Selling my TBC AP400M. I am selling it to make room in the house and to fund the purchase of a new bass.

The bass is in great condition and has never out of my house. It has a comfortable (to me) jazz bass profile neck, I would say it is close to the same size as my Geddy Lee Jazz.

Specs:
Built in 2006. Body and neck crafted in China by TBC employees and then assembled in USA
Chambered body
Extra-light Swamp Ash body with a book-matched top, bottom, and center
Three-piece quarter-sawn Hard Rock Maple neck
Pau Ferro fingerboard
One custom-wound humbucking pickup
2-band active EQ
String-thru body
Composite top nut
22 Frets
34" scale
Hand-rubbed finish
Abalone dot inlays

Padded TBC gig bag included.

Asking $260 shipped CONUS obo. Paypal prefered.

Free bump for a great bass! I used to have a 5 string version of this and still regret getting rid of it. These are super lightweight, have nice necks and IMO really nail the stingray vibe!

Has the bridge been moved? Looks like the high string is VERY close to the edge.

Does it have the active/passive switch?

No the bridge has never been moved, it may be the angle of the shot that is causing the string to look close to the edge, but I do believe that in all the shots the 1st string looks closer to the edge than the 4th, I have never noticed it before or noticed any problem with playability.

There is no active/passive switch, it is a 2 band eq (vol, treble, bass). I've read that people compare these sound-wise to a stingray, I think the sound is a little thin, but its a close replica. I did not want to compare to a stingray since I have not owned one, but it does come close to my sterling (with the sterling having more tonal options).

This photo shows the spacing of the strings and the edge better. Click to enlarge.

Thx man. Nice bass, good luck with the sale. When in CA, I know TBC made some good stuff, I have of their 2x10 cabs from the 90's and it still kills!!
