FS: Tribute SB-2 (natural ash/rosewood)

Hey Y'all,

I had planned on keeping this and selling my other Trib SB-2 but realized they are both great and I can let the market decide which one I keep and which I sell and it's a "can't lose" proposition.

This is a sweet 1st generation (Korean) Tribute SB-2 with a clear finish over ash body and a rosewood fretboard. G&L's #8 neck (their take on a modern jazz neck - 1.5" nut width, 12" fretboard radius). Tort pickguard, US MFD P-J pickups and the standard 2 volume controls.

You can't get ash bodies on current Tribute SB-2s (I have no idea why) but I like the ash.

I'll only be selling one Tribute SB-2 (my other one is sunburst/maple) since one of them has to be my beater/backup to my US L2Ks w/skinny necks.

$450 shipped in the contiguous 48, paypal OK

How does the tone of the ash body compare to your other tributes?

In general - Trib's are much punchier and have more clarity in Ash than in the other body wood. That has been my experience anyway and based on that - I would have to say that this one probably rocks! Nice looking Bass!

In general I do find the ash bodied Tribs clearer but I couldn't pick between this natural ash/rw Trib SB-2 and the other sunburst basswood/maple one I have (but that may be the rosewood and maple coming into the picture as well). The character/sound of the MFDs is the main thing I hear in most of the G&Ls I've had.
