FS: U.S. Lakland 55 JJ Chisonic's

Sign in to disble this ad
This is up for sale along with some other basses to purchase a bass back that I shouldn't have sold.

Lakland U.S.A. model
55 JJ CS
Passive Chisonic single coils
Color: Lakland Shoreline Gold w/ matching headstock
Rosewood fretboard with block inlays.
Mint condition: 9.5 out of 10
Lakland hard case, cream color.

Bass is currently at Pat Wilkin's shop getting the matching headstock. I was also going to get a pickguard on her.

Price: $2350 with matching headstock, no pick guard, including shipping in the lower 48 states.

If you want a pickguard, u will need a price from Pat. I have some different options that Markus did for me. Here's a thread about the pick guard:

Lakland Pick Guard Poll

Pics are courtesy of Gecko5 the original owner of the bass.
Pick guard art is courtesy of Markusbass
Thanks guys

The candy apple red is on Ebay.
Has been for a while.
Starting bid is like....$3500.
That one has a maple fingerboard.
This one with the blocks and binding is like a $500-600 upcharge.

All PM's responded to.

There was a translucent white one that someone on these boards has as well, might not have the chi's but was definitely a Us 55 with an all passive setup. Sweet basses!

Yep, that was mine. It had original Duncan Basslines in it. I sold it a while back and have regretted it ever since. There just aren't very many of these. Mine was very lightweight and responsive. Great basses for sure. Wish I had the funds to pick up this one. With the Chisonics and the matching headstock it just doesn't get any better IMO.

some questions:
what's the body wood?
weight?
is the pickup spacing "60's or 70's?"

I can answer the first two.
Ash body. Very light. If I recal its 8 - 8 1/2 lbs.
I'm not sure about pickup spacing.

Actually, I am the original owner. I bought it brand new.
I sold it to Butler two weeks ago
