FS :: US - Lakland Joe Osborn 5 ($1900) - oh, and shipping is on me!

SOLD!

I have only seen a couple of these for sale so I am having a hard time putting a value on it, feel free to make me a reasonable offer. I can't do any trades on this one, as I am funding a custom amp purchase.

In my opinion, this bass is one of the best production line 5 string Jazz bass on the market. I recently took it in on trade, and am not comfortable with the 35" scale and the fairly wide string spacing at the bridge (~19mm). Olympic white with a black pickguard.

The bass has normal player wear and is 4 1/2 years old, so it's definitely not pristine but in excellent condition. I would rate this as an 8.5 on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being mint. The previous (original) owner took the bass to a "Lakland Bass Day" when he first got it, so it actually has Joe Osborn's signature on the back of the headstock where Joe signed it for him. This is truly a special player, and it makes me sad that I can't seem to handle the spec's.

Being a 2006 has the Lindy Fralin pickups that Lakland was spec'ing at that time, and no mods have been done to the bass. It is currently strung with Labella deep talkin' flats, and comes with the original Lakland gig bag that was ordered with the bass. The other cool thing is that the bass was shipped to me from the Lakland factory as the previous owner has some contacts there. I kept the shpping materials in tact, so it'll be shipped to you (unless you're local) in the same way.

Let me know if you have any questions, I'll be posting some better pics this evening, these were provided by the original owner.

This is Oly white... sorry, I know the pics don't show that very well. It's also got a black pickguard.

Ah... you can always spare a kidney!

I didn't get the pics taken last night (raining and I want to go outside) so I'm hoping to get some updated shots this evening. The detailing on the US made is incredible. I own 2 of the Skylines and the difference is AMAZING, even the tuners are finished nicely, with recesses for the washers.

I got some shots tonight, though I had to stay inside! Let me know if anyone needs another pic. One thing that amazes me, is that the pickguard looks brand new (nearly) and there's hardly any wear on the whole thing.

I should have stated that I will accept cash, money orders, certified checks and paypal. I will NOT accept body parts, no matter how appealing that really is!
