Up for sale is an immaculate 1996 US Musicman Sterling, in black. This bass has lived almost its whole life in the case. I really cannot find a ding or scratch on it anywhere. The pre-amp cover still has the plastic on it. I picked it up recently from a guy who had bought it new in Seattle in 1997, and gave up playing shortly after he bought it. It has all the original case candy, including the sales receipt for $1129. The case is in great shape with only a couple of small marks.
I fitted new Fender strings, a new battery and its now good to go. It has a wonderfully slim and fast Jazz-like neck, but after playing it a few times I decided the Sterling sound is not for me. I was surprised how small and light this bass is, even with a full 34" scale.
