But, this is still a killer price on a U.S.-made Cirrus! And I note that it has the Custom Shop preamp, which I like a fair bit better than the "stock" Cirrus preamp. The Custom Shop pre (aka the Millennium pre) adds a midrange frequency sweep stacked knob onto the Mid boost/cut knob. I upgraded all of my Peavey basses that would accept this preamp. 2 Cirrus, a G Bass, and a G V, and found it to be a nice improvement in all of them (to my ears, of course).
I think the OP is going to regret someday that he sold this bass. They didn't make the BOs that long and they aren't that easy to find, that I've seen.

Not wild about blue, or gold hardware, but nonetheless intrigued by the neck. Is it wenge, mahogany, something else? And what about the fretboard? |

I would keep this bass, but tone wise it isn't my thing. Like I stated, this is a really nice bass whether it's neck though or bolt on. |
