FS USA 1980's P-bass, Black and Maple, excellent condition

I got this in a trade a few weeks ago and maple precisions just aren't my cup of tea. I love this bass though, it sounds and plays like a dream. The neck is a very shallow/flat D shape, not chunky at all.

Serial number is E319800 which according to fender's website makes it a '82-'85 bass. Or at least the neck.

It has an aftermarket pickup, I'm not sure what it is. No marking, white case. Sounds great, plenty of grind and thump. Dimarzio?

One nick on the bottom back edge by the strap button, other than that there are a few little pockmarks in the finish that I couldn't get to show up or could barely feel for that matter. I'd say 8.5 or 9 out of 10.

$900 $800 shipped conus. I'll ship it with a fender gig bag.

Here's some pics!

You can barely see any of that in person, it's just glossy black goodness.

Small chip

You don't like it because it has the spirit of a Jazz/Musicman hybrid hiding within!

Awesome! I've been debating whether to pull the trigger or not on the SX, think I might just do it now.

I liked it, I put some Delano pickups in it and it's my #1 bass now. I'd say try it stock, see if it works for you, and then go from there.
