this bass has not been played, plastic still on the pick guard, bought new in 1996 and stored since then.

Text from the 1996 Fender press release:
Exclusive features on these once in a lifetime instruments
include: gold plated American Standard hardware,
highly figured maple veneer top and back, Antique Sunburst finish,vintage pickups and electronics, white plastic parts,
and black tolex vintage case with orange plush interior and vintage Fender nameplate. In addition, each model is equipped with a specially engraved neck mounting plate with the Fender 50th Anniversary logo and limited edition serial numbering (i.e., 1 of 500).

this price is stupid in my opinion, cheaper than a regualr american jazz, the pau ferro board is gorgeous

Looks like this bass may be sold, which could make my questions are moot.

1. This has 100% passive electronics, correct?

2. Do you know the weight (actual or approximate)?

1. yes, 100% passive
2. just a shade under 10 pounds, but pretty close to 10
