Hey Y'all,
As anyone who knows me knows I tend to accumulate G&L basses with skinny necks (it's an impulse control problem) but don't keep them all around. Here's another one that I couldn't resist checking out but it didn't beat out any of my current lineup and is on the block.
It's a nice US JB-2 in black with a maple neck/board. It weighs in at 8.5 lbs (nice!) and plays well. I really enjoyed playing it but when I switched over to the bass it might have replaced, I liked that sound better. I'd call it "good" condition - no major dings/chips/issues but it does have some wear. The tip of the headstock has met a few somethings and the body does have a dimple or scratch here or there - nothing big and nothing through the paint but it's not pristine. The neck/fretboard edge looks to be starting to show some of that "worn maple" look on around the top half-dozen frets on the G side of the neck. The pots have a bit of scratchiness and overall it could use a good cleaning which I have not gotten around to.
All in all a very solid bass that looks to have been played and will continue to be a rock solid instrument for its next owner.
I've got a Roadrunner gig bag that I'll ship it in (no case, unfortunately).
$695 shipped in the contiguous 48, paypal OK
Trade possibilities:
- G&L fretless: SB2 or L2K, 1.5" nut width, 9lbs or less, unlined ebony preferred
- an inexpensive SB1 or SB2 (Tribute is fine) for a mod experiment: 1.5" nut width, 9lbs or less
- in general I like G&Ls with 1.5" nut width, 9lbs or less and no ASAT or Climax/L-1500s, but I'm full up on fretted basses so I don't know if I can name anything that I'd go for - maybe an SB1 w/skinny neck
- if anyone wanted to swap a Sterling HH or HS for it straight up how could I say no

- Audiokinesis Thunderchild cab
- maybe an Ampeg PF-500
- maybe a Line6 M9 or Zoom B9.1 or Boss ME-50B
I really don't need much - the G&L fretless is the main thing I want to add to my gear
