FS: USA Peavey Millennium 4 Plus w/ OHSC **Excellent Condition**

I love this bass, but GAS has gotten the better of me and something must go!

Looking for $500 + shipping/insurance. No trades or low ball offers please.

USA Peavey Millennium 4 Plus
35" scale
graphite-reinforced eastern maple neck
pau ferro fingerboard with nice grain (8 inch radius)
Hipshot bridge & tuners w/extender on E string
flame maple top
transparent teal finish on front & back
Millennium 18v preamp with bass, treble, blend, volume, and stacked sweepable mid control.
active MM/J pickup configuration.
nice OHSC (by SKB)
currently strung through body with Dunlop Nickel strings
recent professional setup -- ready to go!

Peavey owners manual linked here.

Excellent condition. No major dings or chips. Just normal swirl marks and playing wear. Still has the plastic on the back covers.

This bass looks, sounds, and plays great! Arrow straight neck with low action.

The beautiful trans-teal finish looks different under various lighting. In low light it looks more black/green than blue/green. High res photos below ... these still don't really do her full justice. The grain on the back is gorgeous but can't really be seen due to reflections.

Here are some high res photos from the past weekend.

And some pics from the previous owner and great TBer (thanks again, Chuck!).

Please PM or email with Qs. Email will likely get a faster response.

Man, I love USA Peavey Mill's
I own a black one, and have a red one being delivered tomorrow.
I don't have a blue one though - and especially not with a drop tuner.
Unfortunately, I have to go out of town for a bit.
If this is still here when I get back, you can expect a PM......

For now: bump

I just found a Tigereye version of this bass, and I am thrilled with it. This bass is in a class by itself

Why do Us Peavey guys continue to cut ourselves short? You obviously LOVE it and this bass it's well worth $700 - $750. No doubt about it. It's a Plus model WITH a formed case. Cant go wrong here!!
Compare this to another bass of, lol, equal monetary price ... a Fender MIM Jazz. OMG, there's NO COMPARISON!! These Plus Models blow em AWAY I can get the exact same Jazz tone from this Milli AND have a flatter neck to boot! The Milli's should bring in money like a "same wood combo" Cirrus should!!
BUMP for an awesome bass I only WISH I has the dough for!

(srry for the rant, just getting fed-up with this "market" we've created! I'll delete if you want me to Tom)

No worries, XHawk. You're preaching to the choir! I agree that these basses are worth more than they fetch in the used market. They are a great deal for sure!

But I'm not so sure it's a market that we've created; I see it more as a sign of the times ... but who knows. There are definitely a lot of nice instruments available at good prices these days.

I'm definitely not looking to make a lot of money on this bass... just pass it on to a fellow TBer for a fair price. This community has been good to me and Bass Karma comes back around.

Not familiar with these basses. What is the neck width at the nut? Doesn't say in the Peavey manual.

Neck width is exactly "extremely comfortable"... :-)
Feels thinner than common jazz bass.

I'd have to measure the nut width. I'm not exactly sure, but "extremely comfortable" is a correct answer. I would guess around 1.5"

Peavey's are SO superior in every sense over a Fender ! I agree with the last few guys above me here. Fender is a four letter word. They are clunky, clumbsy, and way over rated, hence over priced.

Aspidites - You live in Berkely - I can drive over there if I can come up with cash for your Milli...

Bump for a sweet bass and my join in on the rant. (Sorry, too !)

Nut width on both of my Plus models is 1-5/8 but it feels smaller. I think mainly because the thickness of the neck, (fretboard to back of neck), is quite thinner than your standard jazz, thus giving a feeling and EASE of playability!
Hope this helps. (I want this bass, nothing wrong with having one in every color, is there??) LOL.

Why do we continue to sell them for cheap? Because we can buy them for cheap. Rather than complain that they don't sell for more, let's be happy that we can buy such great basses for so little money!

There's no way I would own all 6 US Peavey basses that I have now (and be in active negotations for yet another) if they sold for the kind of money that comparable basses from other manufacturers go for.
