Thumbs up FS - Valenti #6 Precision bass

Sign in to disble this ad
FS (no trades)

This is an incredible bass (ask anyone that has ever played it). It was very popular at the 2008 Int'l GTG in NY. There are a few finish scratches but nothing major. I tried to get them to show in the photos but they didn't.

Alder Body
Birdseye Maple Neck/Fretboard
Aguilar OBP-1 preamp w/VTC
Nordstrand NP4
Tort. pickguard
Chrome Hardware
Gotoh Quick Release Bridge
HipShot HB-1 Tuning Gears
Contoured heel for easier access to the upper frets

There is a ding in the neck that was there when I purchased it (it was never explained how it got there) and I have photographed it to show. You cannot feel it when you're playing the bass and it doesn't affect the playability of the bass at all. There is a little ding in the headstock (probably from the same incident that causes the neck ding)
I will ship it in the case that came with the bass. I will try to get a photo of the case to add to this.

$1025 shipped via UPS to the lower 48. Paypal preferred.

Bumpage!

Not even a Pbass player, but if it was a fiver; it'd be mine.

Nice axe. Next best thing to a real 65 P. Even more than a modern Fender imho.

Neck dimensions? And of course the ubiquitous weight question.

Thanks,

It has a jazz neck and the weight is a little over 9 1/2 on my trusty bathroom scale.

This was mine way back when and it is one heck of a P-Bass. Just a tone monster!

Here is my original "For Sale" thread: SOLD: Valenti P #6 (Go get some toast because the BUTTA is right here!)

I cannot believe this bass is still here?!? If I still played fours, I'd be all over it.

If you are looking for a great P bass, look no further -- this is a really great instrument!

I can't change that. I sure wish you liked jazz width necks.
