This is an amazing bass. I traded my LPB Valenti (which I swore I'd never get rid of) for this bass, and haven't regretted it for a minute.

Spec'd out like the early 70's jazz basses with alder/maple/70's pickup positioning, this has a unique voice. It's fairly aggressive, has lots of definition, but more punch than you'd expect, due to the Sadowsky pre I believe. Slap tone is unreal, and the fingerstyle tone is equally sublime. To put this in perspective, I owned an Alleva RA-5 for a while, and I prefer this bass, both in feel and tone.

But, for financial reasons, I'm selling this and a good bit of other gear for a basic Fender Jazz to be able to put a great deal of money toward some other pressing issues. Because of this, I will not entertain any trades... just to be clear, NO TRADES of any kind. Unless you have a Fodera that i can sell for five times the amount, or possibly a late model automobile.

Pictures are directly from Nino's site, so more can be found there. I'll call the condition "excellent" because it's used. If there are any blemishes, they are the type you need a magnifying glass to find.

Specs:

Alder Body
Candy Apple Orange Finish
Maple Neck w/3A Birdseye Maple fretboard
1 7/8" Nut Width
34" Scale
Nordstrand NJ5 70's wound pickups
70's pickup placement
Sadowsky pre amp w/VTC
Chrome Hardware
Tortoise Pickguard
HipShot B Style Bridge
HipShot UltraLite Tuning Gears
straplocks
Contoured heel for easier access to the upper frets
8.80 lbs

$1,650, OBO, shipping included to continental US only. I have no interest in eating Paypal fees, however, so cashier's check, local money order, or cash (local) is preferred.

Dang dude...sorry you're having to put this up for sale. You chased this thing for quite a while. Here's hoping things work out and you can hang on to it. I thoroughly enjoyed that bass while I had it and often regret trading it.

free bump and best wishes.

man...I'm so so so tempted to make you an offer to try and get this one back. However, I seriously believe that if I were to do that, my wife would leave me.....well maybe not leave me, but would be rough several months to come afterwards and probably a swift kick to the nuts.

Sorry to hear about the deal stalling out.

Swift nut kicks are no good. I would not recommend them.

Yeah, I'm not complaining about the time being taken to sell it. It plays like a dream, and the alder/maple, Carey's pickups, and the Sadowsky pre make for a really amazing tone.

I re-think this every time I pick it up.

I tried out a bass very similar to this: Sadowsky NYC parts assembled by Valenti w/Nords, hipshots, alder, orange finish. Was a four though. Freaking sweet. This is a steal!
