FS/FT: Valenti J4 #070

Hey Guys,

I just bought this Valenti J4 #070 last month. This bass plays great, but I was looking for something with a more traditional "J" sound. She hasn't left the house and only has a few hours playing time.

I picked it up for $2480 CDN including taxes (around $2350 USD), hoping to get only around $1550 USD (shipping included within North America). I am also open to some trades potentially. Open to all Lakland and Sadowsky basses !

Specs are as follows:

Body: Swamp Ash Body, 59B finish
Neck: Maple neck with Pau Ferro Fretboard
Scale Length: 34" (21 frets)
Pickups: Nordstrand Big Single 4's
Preamp: Aguilar OBP-1 w/ VTC
Hardware: Hipshot B-Style Bridge, Hipshot HB-1 tuning gears
Comes with the TKL case shown below
Weight is around 8.8 lbs

Feel free to send over a PM if you have any questions.

Maybe you could try a VVT control plate in place of the preamp? Something like this

I think it is the pups I am not a huge fan off (as I already own bass with the OBP-1 pre). I am a little bit of a J bass purist so I thought it would be neat to try something with a similar feel and this configuration. Don't get me wrong the bass has a sweet tone, it's just not to my taste.

Thanks for the suggestion though!
