I cannont say enough good things about this bass. I certainly never expected to sell it, but I've got to make room for two new basses that are on the way.
To date, this is the best bass I've ever owned. As usual, Nino's work on this bass is 10/10. It's light, sounds great, plays great, looks great, feels great... there is nothing to disappoint here. Although it has seen a solid years worth of gigging, there are no blemishes or nicks anywhere. The only evidence is the fingerboard has darkened a good bit from playing and a few cleanings with lemon oil.
I replaced the Aguilar pre with a Nordstrand 3B-5b. (3 band bass preamp with volume (pull passive), blend, tone, push pull frequency selector on mid, and treble/bass stack)
I also had David over at
http://dknob.com/ make some custom Ebony knobs (holly stripes) for the pre, since it was next to impossible to find some cool, stacked knobs to go with this bass.
Comes with a G&G case I had custom made to fit this bass. Cream tolex, with black ends, and black plush interior. A few scrapes and nicks on the outside, and the leather on the handle is torn a bit.
